How it works
Every story, weighed
Ma'at reads how a story is built — not whether you'll agree with it. Three things at a glance:
Colour is tone
Sage for positive-leaning language, coral for negative. It's about wording, not whether the news is "good."
Spikes are intensity
A calm circle for measured writing, a sharp sunburst for emotionally charged language.
The ring is cleanliness
How well-built the claims are. We split the article into checkable facts, spin, assumptions, and unverifiable bits — the score is simply 25 minus the flags. It's a decomposition, not a verdict on truth.
Checked when you open it
The top few are pre-scored; tap any badge to weigh the rest. We read the article text to do it — never your data. Live fact-checking comes later.
Swipe to tune · bookmark to keep
Swiping more/less shapes what surfaces next. The bookmark saves a story to your library — two different things.
